Dermal Fillers - Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Injections of dermal fillers take longer because it takes time until the local anesthetics work. The procedure for this can be up to 1hr.

• Previous history of severe gram-positive infections

• Anticoagulant therapy needs to be stopped for 1 week.

Prior to injecting dermal fillers, you will have local anesthetics to the area being treated. Wrinkle relaxant injections don’t require numbing up as we use very fine needles.

• Read all information provided, complete medical history and consent forms.
• Avoid alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment
• Avoid anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medications (Aspirin, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, St John’s Wart, Omega-3-Fish Oils, Ibuprofen) for a period of 2 weeks before treatment.
• Do not schedule any major events on that day of, or for 2 weeks following treatment, to allow for any bruising or swelling to subside.
• DO NOT apply make-up on the day and wear comfortable clothing.

As with any application of local anesthetics, it is better to use public transport or Uber or taxi. If you get dermal filler only, you can drive your own car.

Costs vary depending on the amount of dermal filler used.

Depending on the application sometimes a single application can be successful. All produces used will be metabolized after 3-9 month by your body so a top up is required.
