Dr. Florian Mack

Dr. Florian Mack is a registered Specialist Prosthodontist in Australia and Germany specialising in the management of TMJ Disorders.

Dr. Florian Mack received his dental degree in 1992 from the University of Berlin in Germany. He then worked at the University of Berlin from 1993 – 1995 and also part-time private practice in 1993 and 1994. In 1995 he accepted the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Greifswald in Germany. In 2000 he completed his specialty degree in Prosthodontics in Greifswald.

Dr. Mack and his family moved to the Gold Coast in 2006 where he accepted the head position of Professor in Prosthodontics at Griffith University and has since completed three research degrees by thesis in 1993, 2000 and 2007. In 2006 he accepted a position as Professor in Prosthodontics at the Griffith University Dental School on the Gold Coast.

Dr. Simon Franks

BSc(Hons), BDS(Hons), MClinDent Prosthodontics (Distinction), FRACDS, AKC

Dr. Simon Franks completed further training in prosthodontics (including dental aesthetics, veneers, crowns, bridges and implants), and maintains registration as a general dentist. His special interest and skills are in prosthodontics, especially restoring and rebuilding of teeth and smiles.

Dr. Simon Franks also has a particular interest in tooth wear, which relates to short, chipped and broken teeth, tooth grinding, acid erosion and tooth replacements (dental implants). He has done a large number of cosmetic dental cases as well as helping patients transition back from false or missing teeth to a full set of teeth that are securely fixed into the mouth.

Dr Julia Moldavtsev

Faring from Adelaide, Julia has a degree in dental surgery and has worked closely with a number of dental specialists throughout her career to whom she credits a great deal of her advanced knowledge.

Julia has worked with patients of all ages and all walks of life. She is all too familiar with frightening dental experiences and draws on her own childhood experiences to understand and help anxious patients. Her approach is gentle, friendly and kind.

Every patient is given plenty of time and treated as a friend. There is no ‘rushing through’ or ‘squeezing in’ patients. Julia takes time to properly manage your dental concerns and pain.

Julia takes a holistic approach to patient care. As a member of the Australian Dental Association, Allied Health and Business Networking International, Julia has wonderful relationships with a wide circle of health professionals and service providers to whom she can offer a warm introduction if you seek advice or care beyond your dental needs.

Dr. Florian Mack Publications & Research

Dr. Florian Mack’s research interests include ‘tongue dysfunction’, biocompatibility of dental materials and laser welding. He has published over fifty papers and is asked to review international dental journals. Dr. Mack is a member of many professional associations and has lectured nationally and internationally.
